Duke Kunshan was represented by the first-year men’s and women’s basketball, badminton and table tennis teams, and the men’s soccer team. Combined, the teams comprised over 30 percent of the inaugural Class of 2022.
After two days of friendly competition, Duke Kunshan’s soccer team, the men’s and women’s badminton team, and the women’s basketball team had taken third place in their respective categories. The table tennis team also received the Sportsmanship Award. A great overall performance was capped by Christian Owusu Boahen winning the golden boot for scoring the most goals in the soccer competition.
The true focus of this weekend was to strengthen links between the joint-venture universities and creating platform for future friendly games and tournaments. In this regard, the true winner was XJTLU, which hosted hundreds of students.
