Alumni Speaker Series | Allison Rose - “What I wish I had known in college: Navigating an uncertain future”
“With my background in social sciences, I consider myself a generalist, and I love to explore different areas of interest. Sometimes this has been a challenge as I try to define my career path, to figuring out what I can do next and which skills will help me succeed. I’m now embarking on a new path, and I’m happy to share what I’ve learned along the way to get here.” – Allison Rose.
Allison Rose graduated from Duke University’s Trinity School in 2014 with a major in Linguistics and minor in Chinese. She began her professional life as an education consultant in Hangzhou, working with students applying to U.S. colleges. She then transitioned into a boutique marketing in Shanghai, where she worked for three years as a project manager and branding strategist with clients such as Nestle and Airbnb on their China market expansion. She is now beginning an MBA at Wharton and a master’s in international studies at the University of Pennsylvania.
