Two Duke Kunshan University deans have been named associate vice chancellors to further enhance the university’s undergraduate and graduate educational experiences and support its diverse research endeavors.

Developed by Duke Kunshan professors Jingbo Cui and Junjie Zhang, along with their research team, the project sheds light on the design of China’s national carbon market through the assessment of regional carbon market pilots

Theoretical work by Duke Kunshan professor Kai Zhang and undergraduate student Yue Yu has produced a simplified model of how gases pass through a membrane, which could have implications for removing pollution from factory emissions and purifying oxygen from the air

Based on their research, Duke Kunshan professor Binbin Li and colleagues are calling for 52 mountainous areas to be made a priority for protection and restoration, an activity that would both benefit biodiversity and curb the risk of landslides.

Duke Kunshan professors Marcus Werner, Keping Wu, Kai Huang, Patrick Ward and Kaizhu Huang hailed as “accomplished and productive scholars” and “excellent teachers with an unswerving commitment to their students.”
