Over 1,800 high-achieving students have applied to join the Class of 2025, more than double last year’s figure, highlighting the demand among young people for Duke Kunshan’s distinct liberal arts experience.

Environmental science/biology major Catherine Brenner from the U.S. is working with researchers at the Duke University Marine Lab to study parasitism and food web interactions in beach habitats, and the role of megafauna such as stingrays and manatees in habitat fragmentation.

Duke Kunshan claimed two prizes at the world’s largest annual conference on speech processing and application, as well as published new research, and provided undergraduate volunteers to support organizers and speakers.

After a 25 percent increase in applications, Duke Kunshan has admitted 32 early decision students to its fourth undergraduate class.

Duke Kunshan signed a strategic partnership with Lenovo Group at the Duke International Forum 2020 on Dec. 4. The Duke Kunshan-Lenovo collaboration will focus on teaching, research, academic exchanges, short-term academic programs, and student internships and employment, with a particular emphasis on the Lenovo Brain, an artificial intelligence open innovation platform and speech technology.
