Duke Kunshan University creates involvement opportunities by offering programs that encourage co-curricular learning, community involvement, and personal and leadership development, along with support that enhances the student experience throughout their time here at the university.
These are done through two distinct types of programs:
Major Campus-Wide Programs are campus-wide traditional large-scale events which bring together the student and overall campus community. They are intended to provide opportunities for campus community building and involvement plus inter-cultural knowledge building and understanding.
These include, but are not limited to, events such as welcome back dinner and concert, Thanksgiving campus dinner, Halloween costume dance party, winter formal and spring ball, end of the semester and/or year events, and Chinese/general holiday initiatives.
Weekly Programs are smaller-scale social events which allow for more intimate student peer-to-peer interaction and community building. They are intended for DKU students to build and enhance long-life friendships while having fun in activities that allow them to balance their academic and personal lives.
These include, but are not limited to, activities such as weekly cinema movie showings, student and DKU community performances, slam poetry, board game nights, and karaoke.
